Turner's Kitchen is one of the few delis in San Francisco offering extensive vegan and vegetarian options (and prime root faux deli meats). They also have gluten free. You can tell they are professionals with creative combinations that just seem to work. It's a pick up-only spot. No delivery.

Excellent food, excellent staff! Turner's Kitchen pick-up/takeout only so it's best to place an order online or call in ahead of time. FOOD: We placed and order for the Barack Obama, Daily Special, and Classic Tomato Soup. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu! I was waiting outside for my order and it seems like there were a variety of sandwiches ordered which shows how good the full menu is. The tomato soup was incredible - creamy and packed with natural tomato umami and delicate flavor notes that Turner's bakes into the soup. The Barack Obama was a refreshing twist on a regular roast beef sandwhich and it came with au jus! The Daily Special was also phenomenal - check out the cross section in the photo I posted. Definitely will be coming back when in the mood for a quality sandwich and a walk around the park! Thank you Turner's Kitchen!

Outstanding!!! I just had the Godfather (with veg salami). It was perfect, exactly how I'd build the sandwich of my dreams! Generous serving of protein, fresh veggie fixins, and delightfully soft yet crunchy bread. I can't believe I just learned about this place and it's closing in 2 months! I hope they relocate to Oakland!!

This place is so freaking good. It is an absolute tragedy that it is closing at the end of march. In fact I only even heard about it from an article that it is closing. I have been twice since hearing of its impending closure and I love it each time. I got 3 sandwiches total the 500 club the Canadian something and the French dip. All great with my favorite being the French dip. Hope they change their minds!

Turner's is my cult favorite sandwich shop. Take out only - perfect for the best lunch to house in between meetings or enjoy ar Dolores Park, also housing since it's so delicious. Most orders are turned around within 20 minutes as it's all pick up. They are efficient! For the dozens of times I've ordered at Turner's, I only have a handful of pictures since phone does not eat first when you have this delicious, artisanal, flavorful, mouth watering sub in front of you. Don't walk, RUN and try Turner's at your next Dolo hang. I think it's #1 in the city, an underdog to all the random places those city food articles recommend. Not only is their traditional menu absolutely amazing, they have daily specials they post on their Instagram and it's so cool to see the creativity of ingredients that are in season. Bravo, love you guys! As you always say, "See you soon!" My star rating: 5 - must go!!! 4 - liked it, give it a try! 3 - it was alright 2 - I probably won't go back 1 - turnaround and run

Yum! I've biked by here a few times during lunch time and noticed people waiting around, and bookmarked it to check out one day. Especially exciting is that there is a lot of vegan sandwiches, using Prime Roots mostly as their meat substitute. Oh my stars and garters! This satisfies my desire for my favorite swanky deli sandwiches from Oakland's Star Meats, but in vegan form! Yes, it looks a little playdoh fun factory version of a good swankified conventional sandwich, but all great faux meat based sandwiches do--I had the godfather, and it really hit the spot. So sad that a conventional sandwich shop can't manage to provide more options than a lettuce tomato sandwich, and sometimes not even that. These fellas kick it out of the ballpark! I managed to rein myself in, but I have my eye on the tempeh BLT for next time! This is a pick up only situation (thus the folks standing around outside), but you can order & pay online, pick it up and take it to Dolores Park which is only a couple blocks away. This is perfect for a fair weather picnic! Chips and drinks are also available and some other deli like sides, though I think only the dolmas are vegan if you roll that way.

My boyfriend and I decided to give Dolores Park a visit with our puppy. We wanted to do a small picnic. When parking, I just came across Turner's Kitchen. After a quick look on Yelp, I saw that it had some good reviews, so I decided to give it a try. They have a set up where you order at the door and pay there. The person at the register will bring your order when it is ready. After settling at the park, I took the sandwich out and had a big bite (after taking a picture of course!). I got a special BBQ tri tip sandwich. Usually not a fan of BBQ sandwiches but this was pretty good. It wasn't warm or anything. That would have made it even better, but I enjoyed it. The slaw on it was pretty tangy, so it balanced itself out. Check it out!

What a pleasant surprise - a hyped-up sandwich spot that is actually really good. The sandwiches are fantastic, and service is super-quick and efficient while also very friendly. It's take-out only and online ordering is simple, but it's difficult to custom-order for multiple dietary restrictions (example, no gluten/no dairy). I'll go back and build my own sandwich next time, but the vegan options are incredible.

6/7/24 Coworker found an article yesterday about this sando spot and we did a lunch run today. This sando shop has an IG account where they post their daily special, so check it out first before deciding on one. Online order is simple to navigate and you can select a pickup time as early as 10:40am. IG acct: turnerskitchensf Small shop and the entrance had a small table with a friendly staff named Anna. Pickup was easy & yes they do make the sando close to pickup time so if you come early, just wait alittle, it'll be worth the wait for fresh & delicious sandwich. I ordered the Dr. Pickle and the coleslaw, sauce and pastrami just blended awesomely! The sandwich is not huge, but for $15, this is the perfect balance of flavor, portion & cost. The bread was soft & not insanely huge where you can't even take a proper bite. Overall I can't wait to return for another meal & a big thanks to Anna for accommodating my early arrival by having the chef fire up the sandwich that was meant for later pickup!!!

All in all a pretty good sandwich to enjoy at the park! Take out only. Fast turnaround. Service was very friendly, I can tell that this is a neighborhood favorite. I got the turkey and avocado sandwich, I think it was called light guy. Ingredients were fresh. Not jaw-unhinge-worthy like some sandwich spots. It had a lot of avocado, I wish it had a little bit of seasoning on it...but overall enjoyable!
